Membership Registration Steps

To become a Girl Scout or to join a troop from Juliettes

1. Go to gsneo.org/join and choose Join Now - this will take you to the "MyGS" site.
2. Choose Find Troops:
   
3. Put in the zip code closest to the troops you're looking for (likely your own, but may be different if you are moving or live on the border of a zip code). 
   
   Also be sure you have selected a Membership Year if none is selected.  "Current Year" pulls only the openings through September 30, so if you're only registering for the upcoming year please select "Next Year."
   
4. You will see potential troops in the area.  You can add additional filters (such as Grade available to the troop you're looking for):
   
5. After deciding on a troop, select how many girls and volunteers you wish to register to the troop
   
6. You will be prompted to log in.  If you don't have a login from previous Girl Scout participation, you can select "Don't have an account? Sign up now"
   
   
   After creating an account, you will receive a confirmation email with a verification link.
   
   
7. If you don't immediately get back to your registration, the top right of the page has a trefoil icon with the number of items in your cart.  If there are any items in your cart, go there.
   
8. You should be on a section to Add Details for each member.  If you chose to add anyone as a volunteer, you will start with the adults.  Otherwise you will choose each participation for each girl.  After the participation has been selected, you can "Select a contact" from your household, which if you just created your account will probably just be you in our files.  Please note, though, that if you receive an error that a person already exists as you're going through, selecting a contact from your household may be where to find them.
   
   1. For the adults, add a Participation type of "Volunteer (Adults)" with the Volunteer Position(s) you chose for them, e.g. Troop Leader including the troop number.
      
      
   2. For the girls, you'll need to add their grade first, then a Participation type of "Troop Member (Girls)," then the troop.  Please consider when entering a grade, grades for both troops and girls automatically go up one on August 1. 
      
9. Choose a Membership.  There may be only one option and if you are updating a troop, you will have the option for Current Year - Update Only.
   
10. Choose a Payment Type and Next Participant (or Save Details for your final member).  Payment types including financial aid requests for girls and include an option for "none" for people the system identifies as already registered.
     
11. When all your members have been added, click Review Cart
    
    
12. Review your cart and add any codes at this time.  You may also choose to add a donation.  At the bottom of the page, chek to agree to terms and "Submit."
    
13. Submit your credit card information and your order will be complete.  Please note, financial aid requests for membership will all be approved but may take a business day to process.
