How to Renew Your Troop

  1. Anyone can renew themselves, but only troop leadership can renew current and former troop members. If you are currently listed in an active leadership role, you can log in to MyGS.
  2. Your troop will show under "My Troop(s)" on the left and you can select it
  3. From your troop, you can see everyone active in your troop. If anyone is not returning for the upcoming year, you can mark them as Not Returning which opens up their spot when registration for the upcoming year becomes available.
    During the months of April through September, the Renew Now box will allow you to select all and skip any updates to member details.

 

    • During the months of April through September, the Renew Now box will allow you to quickly renew all unrenewed members for the upcoming year.
    • You can still renew lapsed or other members not in your list.  If a former member is missing but you plan to renew them, you can click the "Show/Hide inactive and not returning members.".  You can also review basic contact information here.

    1. To choose who to register,  you can check each member one by one or chose "Select All" if you wish to update everyone's records, then click "Renew."  If any are applying for financial aid, for example, you can check off everyone else, or if it's easier, select all and uncheck those who will be registering on their own.
    2. You will be prompted to veify the info of each member you renew, one by one, including the School Attending for any youth you are renewing.  Please make any changes you are aware of, especially if many of them changed schools.  For each member, choose the "Next Year - 2027" membership to renew, choose credit card as the payment type, 
  1. Review your cart, espeically if you clicked to renew everyone.  You can edit the order for anyone whose information has changed and you can remove any member who you didn't intend to renew.  Once your cart is ready to submit, you can follow the prompts to submit and complete your order on the payment page.
